Hi Shanyn, I love the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi and recommend Be As You Are.
I also enjoy the works of contemporary Zen authors like Thich Nhat Hanh and Ruth Ozeki.
I think a nice introduction to Buddhist philosophy is Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind by Shunryu Suzuki.
Lastly, I’ve been inspired by transcendental psychologists like Scott Barry Kaufman who wrote Transcend: The New Science of Self-Actualization which takes a more science-backed approach to the spiritual awakening process.
Question: as you’ve read so widely who would be a good person to read? I’m really interested. Thank you.
I also enjoy the Tantric philosophy teacher Christopher Wallis who has an insightful blog and a very grounded approach to spiritual wisdom.
Thank you for taking the time to share this information with me. I will make note and put them on my list. ❤️
